Job Description
As a Service Technician at McGrath Kia of Highland Park, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, performance, and satisfaction of our customers. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of automotive issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and upholding our dealership's high standards for quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
- Vehicle Inspections and Diagnosis: Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify issues, diagnose automotive problems accurately, and recommend necessary repairs.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Execute repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest level of safety and performance.
- Use of Diagnostic Equipment: Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and tools to diagnose complex vehicle issues effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used, both for customer service and internal reporting.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain repair recommendations, provide estimates, and address their questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with service advisors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive service technician is required.
- Certification from a recognized automotive training program or ASE certification is a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with automotive repair tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
